1. Congratulations to every TRI FOX who participated in the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon and 1/2 Marathon on 5/19.

Many of our fellow FOXES set pr's, some qualified for the Boston Marathon, some took the journey for the very first time....whatever the day held for each of you, we congratulate you and say... WELL DONE FOXES!!!! There certainly was a lot of yellow out there!!

A race like this does not happen without hard work from a variety of people and our TRI FOXES stepped up in a very big way...first, thanks to Sean Ryan, race director and Tri Fox...a first class event!! And how about all the FOXES who spent hours and hours out on the course protecting and directing the runners: Evelyn Renish and son, Jessica Patza, Linda Nockideneh, Mark Geyer, Cheryl Teske, Benjamin and Sam Cherkasky, Lauren Jones, Andrea Neuville, and Craig Schultz.

And don't forget all the TRI FOX GOODWILL AMBASSADORS who spent Friday night and Saturday at our booth at the Cellcom expo promoting the Firecracker and our club...thanks to Don and Kathy Keddell, Kelly Jansen, Rich and Kellie Szymanski, Lauren Jones, Kathy Conger, Tom Romnek, Craig Schultz, Jayne DeMeuse, Michael Paul, Cathy Shiner, Jackie Bushner, and Tami Stiller...WOW..THANKS EVERYONE!!!

2. THE FOX FIRECRACKER 5K ON THE 4TH OF JULY

The skydivers have signed the contract, banners are being printed and hung around the city, t-shirts are being finalized (they are great!), the course is certified, entries are trickling in, and every other detail is being evaluated and worked on by a very diligent TRI FOX race committee....

We encourage all of you to promote the race to everyone you know...and SIGN UP now so we can get some idea of how much stuff to order....even if you can't participate on race day, sign up as a GHOST FOX...this is a big fundraiser for the club. We plan to put on a first class event and make this an annual race that will continue to grow in reputation and fun!!! WE do need lots of homemade apple pies...please be a "baker"...email Julie Hintz if you can make a pie or 3!! mjhintz@dotnet.com

FOX FOTOS....if you have pictures of yourself or other FOXES in our colors, please submit them to Kelly Jansen at kjansen@new.rr.com If you are travelling this summer and want to take FUZZY FOX to some cool and or exotic locals, please let us know and we can provide a "travelling Fuzzy" for you!! We need lots of great FOX FOTOS for our 2008 end of season DVD....get fotos at races or wherever you are in the world PLEASE!!

Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of trying to organize a Splash N' Dash/Stroke N'Stride at High Cliff starting as soon as the open water swims start. In case you are not familiar with this format, it is a 1500 meter open water swim followed by a 5k, it's popular in CO, New Zealand and Australia. I thought it would be a biweekly event and it would be informal, but give people the opportunity to get in a race-like open water swim and hard effort without the formalities and possibly nerves of a race. Great to practice open water starts, sighting, etc

I am gauging interest to see how this will go over. It would most likely be in the evening.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Within the next 2 weeks we will be getting a shipment of 50 Headsweat running caps and 50 (25 men's and 25 women's) running technical shirts!!!!

The caps are great for hot and sunny days...white with an orange FOX on the front!! We actually had them about 4 years ago. Back by popular demand!
